We believe that we provide the widest range of choices in the North West for families wishing to arrange a funeral in the most environmentally friendly or alternative way. We offer families a truly specialist service that is not simply offering a choice of coffins but is firmly based on an ethos of trying to make a real difference to the environment. This is reflected in our business practices and our personal beliefs and passion for the world in which we live.

Such is our knowledge and experience in this area that we regularly act as consultants for new and expanding sites.

There are many easy ways to personalize a funeral. I am pleased to be able to offer several services as an alternative to the traditional funeral.

Green/woodland burials - these have developed as a more environmentally friendly form of burial. Often the burial sites would be unmarked, there would be no headstones. A tree may be planted in place of a memorial. Often these burial sites are, as the name suggests, in a less kept woodland area. We have access to a wide range of woodland burial sites in the North West.

For many families, the idea of woodland burial involves a picture of a wooded glade with bluebells growing. This, however, is not always the case and woodland burial sites vary greatly in appearance. We are pleased to offer families our experience in dealing with all of the various sites in the area to ensure that they know the benefits of each site.

We also have a wide range of experience in helping families to arrange burial on private land.

Non religious funeral services. We tend to be living in an increasingly secular society and so, in reflection of this, the British Humanist Society has developed to play an alternative role to that which has been traditionally played by the church. Rather than asking a local minister to take a funeral service, it is possible to employ a humanist officiant who will, through meeting the family, conduct a funeral service based entirely around the life of the person who has died. Whilst this service will, of course, be non-religious, it need not be without a spiritual element, but would reflect the thoughts, wishes and personality of the deceased. Poetry and music can be adopted as an alternative for prayers and hymns.
